Mount Sinai

Mount Sinai (aka Jabal Musa) is a mountain in the Sinai desert. It is one of several locations claimed to be the biblical Mount Sinai where, according to the Torah, Bible, and Quran, Moses received the Ten Commandments. The monastery of St. Catherine is nearby.

Santiago De Compostela

Santiago de Compostela is the capital of Galicia and the end point of the pilgrimage "Camini de Santiago" and the apostel James should be buried here. The journey here is different from other journeys since people like to either walk or bike.

Vatican City

Vatican City is the smallest country on the planet, both for size (0.5 km2) and number of permanent residents (500). It is completely encapsulated in the Italian city of Rome.

The head of the Roman Catholic church, the pope, lives here. He is protected by the Swiss Garde and does religious services in the magnificent St. Peter Cathedral.
