Rice Terraces show tranquility and give you this feeling of Back to Nature, away from technology. Rice grows in many Asian countries. Depending on season they can appear like mirrors (reflecting lakes), green paradise or golden miracles.

Banaue Rice Terraces
The Banaue Rice Terraces are 2,000-year-old terraces that were carved into the mountains. They are frequently called the "Eighth Wonder of the World".
Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are two cities in the North of Thailand. Visitors use these cities to explore the jungles, visit the tribes or watch the elephants work and bath.
Longji Rice Terraces
The Longji Rice Terraces are located in the hills 2 hours North of Guilin and a true piece of art. They are spread out over many hills, with up to 200 vertical levels, and resemble a dragon ("Longji").
Sapa
Sapa is a quiet but touristy place in the mountains. Interesting tribe villages and rice fields around. You can get there by train from Hanoi. Note the weekly Bachma market not too far from Sapa where locals still wear their traditional dresses.
Ubud
Ubud is one of the touristic centres of Bali. The busy little place features fancy hotels as well as simple cottages, rice fields and a lot of art.
