The river Ganges is a major water way that starts in the Himalaya, flows through India and ends in Bangladesh. This is a very sacred river in the Hindu religion, who names the river Mother Ganga. Cleansing the sins and river burials of the death especially in Varanasi are significant and important for Hindus.
