Japan is a very modern country with extremely polite and correct people. The country is located on the ring of fire and has "learned to live" with volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. When eating out you should try Japanese sushi, "udon" noodles and (strong) sake rice wine. There is a lot to see between Hokkaido, Kyoto, Tokyo and Okinawa, in any season.

About Kyoto
Kyoto is the former capital of Japan and - even though it is a large and modern city, it feels small and traditional. You can find lots of temples, kimonos and geishas, all you need for some great pictures. Between Kyoto and Osaka is Nara, another former capital worth visiting.
