Laos
Laos is a very relaxed country. Vientiane, the capital, has very few airplanes at the airport and probably never any traffic jams. Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang are the places where most tourists end up. Be aware of the strange drinks here, with snakes and scorpions.
Mekong
The Mekong river is the largest and most important in South-East Asia. It starts in Tibet and flows through Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
