Poland is a large, modern country in Eastern Europe. Most people are catholic and many churches and cathedrals can be found throughout the country. Former legendary Pope John Paul II was from Krakow. Beautiful cities - especially around Christmas - include Gdansk, Krakow and Wroclaw. Warsaw is the capital.

About Wroclaw
The Wroclaw city center is absolutely beautiful, especially around Christmas. The city has was originally called Breslau, but changed names after the end of the 2nd world war (when a part of Germany became Polish).
