Ayers Rock ist ein riesiger Monolyt. Nur 10% sind oberirdisch, der Rest ist unterirdisch. Der Felsen ist für die Ureinwohner Australiens - die Aborigines - heilig, die ihn Uluru nennen. Seit Oktober 2019 ist ein Aufstieg nicht mehr möglich.
