Einheimische nennen sich Kiwis, wie der Vogel und die Frucht.
TaupoTaupō liegt am nordöstlichen Ufer des Lake Taupō, Neuseelands größtem See. Dies ist ein wunderschöner See mit malerischer Umgebung, aber auch der Caldera des Taupō-Vulkans.
