1. Company and Platform
1.1 ToursOnTheWeb is a global search and comparison portal for travel that features Group Tours and Private Tours, Safaris, Bicycle and Walking Tours, (River) Cruises and Expeditions. This portal is operated by ToursOnTheWeb Pte Ltd, a privately owned company registered 2014 in Singapore.
1.2 ToursOnTheWeb is an easy-to-use, fast and secure platform in multiple languages. We provide all web visitors with an abundance of information regarding operators, tours and departures worldwide based on a) country of departure b) country of destination and c) preferred travel language. Web visitors can easily search, compare, download and share all products in their own language and currency.
1.3 ToursOnTheWeb Pte Ltd is NOT an (online) travel agent, but a software company specialised in travel. We do not accept payment from any traveller at any time. Our platform provides all information about tours, cruises and activities, for example itinerary, highlights, personal requirements, ship, accommodations, seasons, dates, prices and supplements. This enables a fair and honest comparison with other, similar tours from different operators.
2. Tour Operators and Listings
2.1 We work with national and international Tour Operators who organise and conduct group tours and private tours, cruises and activities. Tour Operators may be members of booking guarantee funds that provide coverage in case of booking changes, cancellations, company closure or bad practice. ToursOnTheWeb mentions memberships and alliances of the tour operator as credentials of the organisation. This data is obtained from public domain or provided by the Tour Operator, but may not be current or completely accurate.
2.2 Tours and Cruises are featured on our platforms for information and sales purposes. We are not involved in how the tour or cruise is conducted by the tour operator. We are confident that you will be satisfied with the operator's services, but ask you to contact the tour operator directly, if any complaints would arise. If too many complaints arise by different travellers, we may de-list the tour operator. ToursOnTheWeb is never responsible for any tour, cruise or other service listed or mentioned on its portals.
2.3 We do our utmost to keep the tour information and all details reliable, complete and up-to-date, for example by daily or regular uploads from the Tour Operator’s or Content Provider's website or database (through an API). Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the information on our platform is either 100% correct, or exactly the same as the information that the Tour Operator works with, 365 days per year, 24 hours per day. Differences may exist. The tour operator may have a lot more information. Itineraries for the same tour may vary for different dates.
2.4 We highly recommend that you read the final tour documentation provided by the tour operator carefully before booking. The Tour Operator's documentation for example regarding Terms & Conditions, itinerary, requirements, group composition, inclusions, exclusions, departure dates, availability, included flights, supplements and prices always applies to your tour. Only the Tours and Conditions of the Tour Operator apply after booking.
2.5 ToursOnTheWeb does not accept online bookings and does not know who joined a tour or tour operator. We do list reviews (experiences, recommendations) by participants / travellers as provided to us by the tour operator or independent travel review collectors (like feefo.com or trustpilot.com), but cannot verify the quality of the review. We will not recommend a Tour Operator based on personal preference. Whether a tour is good for you, will also depend on you, your group, your background and your expectations.
2.6 ToursOnTheWeb Pte Ltd, Tour Operators and Advertisers are legally completely independent entities and are not involved in each other's business or operations. We cannot and will not represent each other’s business legally under any circumstances.
3. Customer Support, more Information
3.1 Most tour operators provide excellent customer support with current and up-to-date information about tours, bookings, inclusions, exclusions and specific departures. The traveler can get support via the operator’s web site, for example by email, phone or online chat.
3.2 In some cases (e.g. tailor made tours) we may show a button to request the operator for more information in which case we will forward your request to the tour operator, who can accept or reject this request. The operator will then contact the traveler directly, answer any questions and make further arrangements.
3.3 ToursOnTheWeb will not handle any online requests for information about one of the listed tours on its website. We kindly but firmly refer to the tour operator who can deal with this a lot better.
4. Online Booking and Payment, Cancellation
4.1 ToursOnTheWeb does not support online booking on its website and is not involved in or responsible for any booking, payment or cancellation. The traveler can link to the operator’s web site and make a booking there, or in the local tour operator’s local brick-and-mortar store (if available). The Tour Operator's Terms & Conditions apply to your booking. We do advise that you arrange personal cancellation insurance and pay by credit card for additional security.
4.2 We do not accept online bookings or payments from any traveller / participant. Therefore there is no need to keep any personal data or credit card information on our system. You have the option to login to our system to set and keep preferences (like language & currency), but this is completely optional and not at all required. We do store cookies that we use for your comfort (e.g. travel destination and recent history). We do NOT pass or sell your cookie-data to anyone for any purpose. A list of all cookies is available on a separate page, nothing hidden.
5. COVID-19
5.1 The global Corona pandemic paused international and domestic travel almost completely in 2020 and 2021. Most borders were closed. Most countries have recovered fully and are handling COVID-19 as an endemic disease: we have to live with it. Yet, there may be restrictions and regulations caused by COVID-19 to prevent further infections, hospitalisations and death. These restrictions may change suddenly and may affect your tour.
5.2 We highly recommend, that you only join a tour when you are fully vaccinated (incl. booster). Most operators make it mandatory to participate. Vaccination is not only mandatory to enter most countries, but also keeps you and your fellow travellers safe. Without vaccination you may be in big trouble, must go quarantine and possibly cannot travel. Do view the official immigration websites of your destination or contact your tour operator if in doubt.
6. Advertising, Content
6.1 Travel related companies have the possibility to advertise on the ToursOnTheWeb platform. Advertisers must comply with our regulations, whereas we do not accept discriminating or offensive content or links for example regarding race, religion, gender, sexual or other preference. ToursOnTheWeb does not endorse any specific company, product or service. Users / Buyers should read the advertiser's Terms and Conditions carefully.
7. Legal
7.1 Our platform is simple to use and straight-forward without small print, but in case of any disputes the law and jurisdiction of Singapore will prevail. In case of discrepancies or misinterpretations between different language versions for online or off-line documents, the English version will be the current and correct version.
