This 12-day tour of Greece, Italy, and Switzerland will take you on the European adventure of a lifetime! Your journey will begin in Athens, the ancient capital of Greece, home to famous sites such as the Panathenaic Stadium and the Acropolis. From there you will drive over the Corinth Canal, which separates the Peloponnese Peninsula from the rest of Greece, and travel to Corinth, an ancient city which several empires have fought over throughout history. Your next stop will be in Mycenae, the city of King Agamemnon, where you will see the Cyclopean Walls and the Lion Gate before you explore Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympics. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, known for its priceless collection of exhibits, and travel through the Peloponnese Mountains to Patras, known for its medieval castle that was built on the highest spot in town. Make your way over to Ancona to board your ferry to Italy. Sailing through the Adriatic, you will pass by the islands of Ithaca and Kefalonia before you arrive in Loreto, a beautiful hill town and a popular pilgrimage site. Your journey will take you to Rome, the capital of Italy, where you will see the Colosseum, a world-famous landmark, and cross the border into Vatican City. Travel to Florence, the Birthplace of the Renaissance, to see the views of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo and admire the Duoma. Explore Venice, the City of Canals, with a scenic boat trip to St. Mark's Square. As you travel across the Alps you will visit Verona, the City of Romeo and Juliet, before you cross the border into Switzerland to explore Zurich, known for its extravagant shopping centers, colorful architecture, and breathtaking scenery. Drive through the Swiss Mountains with a stop in Grindelwald, with a chance to walk over the bridge, and explore Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland, home to the 14th-century Chapel Bridge.
