Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'animaux sauvages sur l'île du nord ou du sud de la Nouvelle-Zélande et cela principalement parce que c'est un pays nouveau et éloigné, sorti de la mer. Vous trouverez beaucoup d'espace, la nature sous toutes ses formes, beaucoup de moutons et l'oiseau Kea local (un petit perroquet). Dans l'extrême sud, vous pouvez même trouver quelques espèces de manchots et le puissant Albatros. Quand vous venez ici, vous aimez être loin de tout et un peu de froid, un peu de vent ou un peu de pluie ne vous dérangent pas. Les habitants s'appellent Kiwis, comme l'oiseau et le fruit.
WellingtonWellington est la capitale de la Nouvelle-Zélande, mais pas la plus grande ville. Situé à l'extrême fond de l'île Nort, la plupart des gens passeront ici lors de la traversée entre les deux îles.Wellington est proche de la maison des Hobbits, l'un des plus petits personnages de l'industrie cinématographique (Le Seigneur des Anneaux). Il y a aussi un joli trajet en funiculaire.
