Paro (42)
Paro is waar de meeste bezoekers het koninkrijk Bhutan zullen betreden, omdat het de internationale luchthaven herbergt. Toch is Paro een kleine stad met een paar hotels en de belangrijkste toeristische attractie in Bhutan: het Tiger´s Nest-klooster - een gemakkelijke tocht.
Thimpu (42)
De hoofdstad van Bhutan (ca. 80.000 inwoners) is heel ontspannend zoals de rest van Bhutan. De belangrijkste overheidsgebouwen zijn hier, gedeeld met boeddhistische kloosters. Misschien vindt u de lokale bevolking die de nationale sporten van boogschieten beoefent (pijl en boog). Er zijn een aantal ECHTE leuke hotels, zoals het Heritage Hotel en de Taj - maar niet goedkoop.
Punakha (40)
Punakha is één van de dongs met een prachtig traditioneel "stadhuis/klooster".
Dochula Pass (35)
De Dochu La Pass is een bergpas in de met sneeuw bedekte Himalaya in Bhutan op de weg van Thimphu naar Punakha.
