Vanwege de Nederlandse koloniale geschiedenis (die gelukkig verleden tijd is) spreken ouderen nog wat Nederlands.
Over UbudUbud is een van de toeristische centra van Bali. Het drukke plaatsje beschikt over chique hotels, maar ook eenvoudige huisjes, rijstvelden en veel kunst.
