PokharaPokhara is het startpunt voor trektochten in de westelijke Himalaya. Het was klein, maar is aanzienlijk gegroeid. Sommige rijkere Nepalezen hebben zich hier gevestigd. Een ochtend kanovaren op het meer kan echt mooi zijn, als het weer en uitzicht op de bergen Annapurna en Machu Puchare het toelaten.
