Het is rijk vanwege zijn mensen en zijn resources (bijv. Mijnbouw). Gelegen tussen twee oceanen opent veel zee-mogelijkheden zoals het duiken met haaien.

Johannesburg (16)
Johannesburg is de grootste stad en het economische hart van Zuid-Afrika. Mensen beginnen er een "vriendelijkere" stad van te maken, weg van de slechte naam van rovers en dieven. Je moet nog steeds voorzichtig zijn, maar een stadstour om het oude en nieuwe Joburg te zien, is zeker de moeite waard. Diamanten kopen? De Beers heeft hier haar hoofdkantoor. Politiek? Bezoek So-We-To (South-West Township) waar Nelson Mandela woonde.
Kruger National Park (15)
Het Kruger National Park is een van de grootste wildreservaten ter wereld. De big five en vele andere dieren hebben hier hun thuis. De ligging ten noordoosten van Johannesburg maakt het een gemakkelijke bestemming.
Kaapstad (11)
Kaapstad is één van de mooiste grote steden ter wereld. Het is het ontmoetingspunt voor twee oceanen met bergen en een natuurlijke haven. Dankzij zijn aard zijn er veel migranten naar toe verhuisd en zijn films daar opgenomen. Activiteiten kunnen zijn surfen, vissen, haaien kijken (!) Of gewoon wandelen en genieten. Stellenbosch is een wijngebied vlakbij Kaapstad. Het is vernoemd naar de Nederlandse oprichter Simon van der Stel.
