The Serengeti is the largest area in the world where lions, giraffe, elephants, rhino, zebra, gnu and many other animals run around in their natural habitat. The plains are mostly wide-open and safaris are the most common activity. The Serengeti is partly in Tanzania, partly in Kenya - but animals don´t need passports to cross the border for their endless migration...

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of those places in Africa where you can find all wildlife - including the Big Five - on a very small area. And they will stay there till you visit as well, because they are "trapped" in a large volcano crater with steep walls around them...

The Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain of Africa. Thanks to its location close to the equator, the 5895m high giant is not covered completely with snow. On the contrary. Many people take the approx. 5 day trek to climb to the white Kibo peak and enjoy the view over the Serengeti.

Zanzibar is known for beaches, spice markets and tradition. Once you have done your climbing of Kilimanjaro, joined your safaris and seen the Big Five a few times, it is great to relax here.

Lake Manyara National Park is a national park in the Eat of Tanzania that also includes the lake with the same name. More than 350 bird species have been observed on the lake.
