About Botswana
Botswana has one major tourist attraction that you'll hardly find somewhere else. Most river deltas end in a sea or ocean. The 1600 km long Okavango river ends inland with no sea insight, at the Okavango Delta. Chobe National Park is Botswana's first national park, and also the most biologically diverse. It has one of the greatest concentrations of game in all of Africa.

Okavango is a unique National Park with land- and water- wildlife. It is like a giant oasis in the middle of deserts. Don´t miss the crocodiles and hippopothamus from a canoe... Note that a river delta that ends in a desert and not in an ocean or sea is unique all by itself!

Maun is the Tourism Capital of Botswana. All busses and jeeps coming from/to Namibia, Victoria Falls and Okavango Delta will pass here. Tribesmen may still sell their cattle here.

The Makgadikgadi Pan is one of the largest salt flats in the world. Makgadikgadi is technically not a single pan, but many pans with sandy desert in between.

Moremi Game Reserve is a protected area in Botswana. This is not a national park, so that the Bushmen that lived there were allowed to stay in the reserve. The reserve is home to a wide variety of mammals and birds.
