Arenal Volcano is an active volcano in north-western Costa Rica. It is conically shaped with a crater 140 metres in diameter. La Fortuna is the gateway to the Arenal Volcano National Park

Monteverde is considered a major ecotourism destination in Costa Rica. The area is host to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and numerous other reserves. You will find many birds including the Quetzal - if you are lucky.
