Etosha is a major national park with wild animals in Namibia. You can find the Big Five here, plus an abundance of desert live.

Swakopmund (and Walvis Bay) is Namibia´s playground, a holiday destination for tourists and locals alike looking to escape the heat of the interior and to have a little adventure. Swakopmund is particulary known for the dunes, where you can slide or ski down from.

Windhoek (´Windy Corner´) is the capital and only major city of Namibia.

The Namib is a coastal desert in southern Africa. There is so little rain per year, that this is the only real desert and really not inhabitable.

The Fish River Canyon is the second largest natural gorge in the world and the largest in Africa. Set in a harsh, stony plain dotted with drought resistant succulents, such as the distinctive quiver tree or ´kokerboom´, the canyon is a spectacular natural phenomenon.
