Taipei is the most important city of Taiwan - in any regards. The main attractions in the city are the hot pools in Beitou, Chiang Kai Check Memorial, Longshan temple and of course Taipei 101 (formerly the tallest building in the world). Don´t forget to shop or eat in the night markets...

Hualien is a town at the east coast of Taiwan and the starting point for any tour to the Tarako National Park. It is nice to spend some time in the Tarako gorge.

Taroko National Park & Gorge are a natural attraction on the North-East part of Taiwan.

Nothing much to do here, except for sunrise near the footbridge at Sanxiantai - what can be amazing. Officially this is "the Dragon Bridge to the Island of the Three Mortals".
