About Andes Mountain Area
The Andes is the 2nd highest mountain range (after the Himalaya in Asia) and stretches from the Caribbean, through Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile to cold Tierra del Fuego in Argentina, a distance of 7000 km. You'll find Inca ruins, tropical valleys, volcanoes, deserts, high mountains (Aconcagua ~ 6961m altitude), glaciers and fjords along the way.
