About Laos
Laos is a very relaxed country. Vientiane, the capital, has very few airplanes at the airport and probably never any traffic jams. Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang are the places where most tourists end up. Be aware of the strange drinks here, with snakes and scorpions.

About Cambodia
The main attraction in Cambodia is without doubt Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, a large (inactive) temple complex, rebuilt piece-by-piece, that is even featured on the national currency. The capital however is Phnom Penh.
