India is called "a continent by itself" even though it is part of Asia. India has a population of 1.4 billion people and counts for approx. 15% of the world´s population. India is very colorful with lots of traditions, festivities, sports (very British), dance and music (Bollywood!). Financial wealth is not spread evenly: a small percentage of the people is extremely rich, a middle class with good education is comparable to western standards and the majority is still very, very poor.
