Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world (after Russia), but only counts 40 million people... Most of these people live just north of the US-border. The big three cities (Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver) plus the other major cities have close to 75% of the total population. In other words: the country is empty outside the major cities! In Quebec province French is the official language, anywhere else English will do.

Calgary, Alberta, is located between the prairie and the mountains. As rumours go "it can snow any day of the year". In July the greatest show on earth, the Calgary Stampede (incl. Rodeo), takes place.

Seattle is a seaport and the biggest city in the North-West. Also the home of Microsoft , Boeing and Amazon. From here it is easy to the Rocky Mountains or to Vancouver, Canada.
