Australia is the country/continent "down-under". It is completely surrounded by water and - except for the coastal regions - a huge desert (Red Center). Main tourist attractions are the Great Barrier Reef (Cairns), the Great Ocean Road, Ayers Rock (Alice Springs), Sydney and all the magnificent wildlife (in particular birds and reptiles). Melbourne is very sport oriented and Tasmania is proud to have the "best air". Having a BBQ on the beach on Christmas day is normal in Australia, but quite special to most northern visitors.

Melbourne is the 2nd largest city of Australia and also the sport´s capital of this sport´s minded nation. You´ll find for example the Formula 1 car races, the only Tennis Grand Slam of the Southern Hemisphere and the America's Cup for sailing here.
