Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil are about as different as they come and therefore a journey through the three countries will give any traveller a rather varied experience. Bolivia is about the wide open Altiplano, the beautiful wilderness, dotted with lakes and volcanoes. Here we will get off the beaten track and experience the old world; Bolivia is a very traditional country and the colour and clothing is stunning.

Crossing into Argentina and the north around Salta, we pass through some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole continent, including the hills of Seven Colours and Purmamarca. Near Cordoba we spend a few days riding with Gauchos through the Cordillera. Add in Iquazu, Brazil's Emerald Coast and the Pantanal and you get an idea of the diversity on this trip.

This trip is all about the cities. There's Rio and BA with their famous landmarks, lifestyles and love of music, but its La Paz that everyone falls in love with; the history oozes out of the cobbled streets and small bars. The real gem on this trip is Salta, with its churches, museums, plazas and statues.

  • This is a fairly challenging trip; you may well be travelling at high altitudes, across deserts or through cold and windy or hot and steamy areas.
