Join this two week adventure which will take you through the beautiful mountains of Northern Pakistan, where the landscapes and culture of the region will speak for itself!
During the trip, we'll travel in open-top jeeps where these are available, with local guides and travel from Islamabad, north along the famous Karakorum Highway. Our journey will take us through the striking mountain ranges of the Himalaya, Karakorum and the Hindu Kush. At times, we'll leave behind the main road and travel along narrow unpaved roads with incredible vistas.
We've built a number of day hikes into the trip, which can be customised depending on your own level of fitness (this will include options approaching the Base Camps of Namga Parbat. A hike is also included to the salty mountain lakes and the Passu Glacier, along with visits to ancient forts and religious sites.
Accommodation on this trip is in comfortable tourist class hotels whilst in Islamabad and simpler guesthouses and hotels whilst higher up. Almost all meals are included in the trip price, so you'll surely get a taste of different cuisines as you travel (don't forget to try the famous apricots whilst in the Hunza Valley).
After heading back down to the lowland plains, we'll visit Rawalpindi to explore the local craft markets, before the tour comes to an end.
Extensions are available to visit Lahore or just add more time in Islamabad or Rawalpindi.
