Our twin-centre walking holiday starts in Mumbles, a headland on the western edge of Swansea Bay. The walks take you along the coast path past pretty bays and coves towards the high cliffs of Three Cliffs Bay where you may spot lizards.You'll pass the ruins of the Norman Pennard Castle and enter Oxwich Burrows National Nature Reserve where over 600 species of plant have been identified, you may also spot reed warblers, sedge warblers and bitterns. Continue along the cliff tops above Rhossili beach with the possibility of crossing the rocky causeway to the tidal island of Worms Head, where grey seals can be seen lazing on the rocks below. Look out for orchids and dune gentians in Whiteford Burrows Nature Reserve and pintails and golden plovers in Llanrhidian Marsh. Towards the end of your route you can visit Weobley Castle, a 14th Century fortified manor house.
