Details
On this 08-day journey, prepare your senses for the sounds, smells, and sights of Morocco! Begin in Marrakech, a former imperial city in western Morocco. Here you will see many mosques, palaces, and public gardens. Marrakech is often considered Morocco';s most intoxicating city. Originally a trading and rest spot along the Saharan caravan routes, today it is a favorite among the jet-set and everyday travelers alike. The city lies almost flat, making it easy to navigate by foot which is a must in the mostly car-free medina. You will then visit Ouarzazate, located south of the High Atlas Mountains and known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. The enormous Taourirt Kasbah is home to a 19th-century palace that offers an incredible view of nearby landscapes. In Zagora, you will geographically inch closer to the Sahara Desert and have a taste of the local culture. Stop in Erfoud, an oasis town and Tinghir, a city in the region of Drâa-Tafilalet before returning to amazing Marrakech.
