Australia is the country/continent "down-under". It is completely surrounded by water and - except for the coastal regions - a huge desert (Red Center). Main tourist attractions are the Great Barrier Reef (Cairns), the Great Ocean Road, Ayers Rock (Alice Springs), Sydney and all the magnificent wildlife (in particular birds and reptiles). Melbourne is very sport oriented and Tasmania is proud to have the "best air". Having a BBQ on the beach on Christmas day is normal in Australia, but quite special to most northern visitors.

Darwin is the place to be if you like nature and warmth. "Kakadu National Park" and crocodiles just around the corner. The Ghan starts here... This is the smallest provincial capital of Australia and quite close to Indonesia.
