Banff National Park (79)

Banff is a very touristy little town in southern Alberta. Oner of the most famous attractions is the Banff Springs Hotel. Banff National Park is one of the best places to enjoy the Rocky Mountains with beautiful snowy mountains, blue glacier lakes, canoeing opportunities and hiking trails. Highlights include Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.

Jasper National Park (65)

Jasper and Jasper National Park are a true highlight in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It is easy to spend several days or longer to discover the mountains, glaciers, waterfalls. You can be active and do some trekking or canoeing - or take boat rides. Jasper is a must-do between Vancouver and Banff.

Niagara Falls (27)

Niagara Falls are one of the top 3 waterfalls worldwide in regards of size and name. The falls are located at the border between the USA and Canada. The Canadian Horse Shoe Falls are the most famous and visited by many tourists and honeymooners. Niagara Falls is not a National Park, but a protected area.

Cape Breton Highlands National Park (19)

Cape Breton Highlands is a peninsula in Nova Scotia. The drive around this National Park is world famous and especially spectacular during Indian Summer (Sept-Oct).

Bay of Fundy National Park (12)

The Bay of Fundy may have the highest difference in meters between high tide and low tide (16m). Depending on the tide you can walk across the sandy beach or not.

Algonquin Provincial Park (1)

Algonquin Provincial Park is a large nature area in Ontario. Only one major road passes through here. To travel between the many lakes you either hike, or canoe, or both. Day trips and overnight stay are possible. Algonquin is a great place to go camping and relax. The Great Outdoors do apply here. You may encounter all kinds of animals like moose, black bear and the mystical waterbird called loon.
