Finland is a large, modern country in Northern Europe. The spoken language is completely different from it's other Scandinavian neighbours with only Estonian and Hungarian being similar. Helsinki is the official capital, but in winter Rovaniemi in the North is far more important for most tourists - with Sami, Reindeer, Northern Lights and Santa Claus. Kittilä is a municipality of Fins Lapland and a popular holiday resort. It may be one of the best places in Finland to plan for and see the Northern Lights.
