Capital of Iceland, Reykjavik is still a small city. The houses are mostly made of wood and very colorful. The church is the main attraction in a country where nature means everything. Vatnajökull National Park is one of three national parks in Iceland and encompasses all of the huge Vatnajökull glacier and extensive surrounding areas featuring rivers, glacial ice, volcanic and geothermal activity. It is a World Heritage Site.

Gullfoss means "Golden Waterfall" and it is indeed a great view. One of the nicest waterfalls in Iceland.

The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland with a width of 25 metres and a drop of 60 m.

Þingvellir was the site of the annual parliament of Iceland from 930AD till in 1798 AD. It is really country site, part of the Golden Circle.

Mývatn (*mosquito lake*) is a small lake situated in an area of active volcanism in the north of Iceland, near Krafla volcano. The lake was created by a large basaltic lava eruption 2300 years ago, and the surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic landforms, including lava pillars, fumaroles and hot mud pools.

The Snæfellsnes is a peninsula situated to the west of Borgarfjörður, in western Iceland.It has been named Iceland in Miniature, because many national sights can be found in the area.
