It is very colorful with lots of traditions, festivities, sports (very British), dance, film and music (Bollywood!). Indian kitchen & cooking with curries, chapatis, vegies, chilis, etc is world-famous and delicious. Financial wealth is not spread evenly: a small percentage of the people is extremely rich, a middle class with good education is comparable to western standards and the majority is still very, very poor.

About Mysore
Mysore, also known as Mysuru, is a pleasant city in Southern India with markets and the Sultan´s palace. Mysore is a great stop when visiting Ooty or Goa as well.
