Iran, former Persia, is a large country. Like most of it's neighbours Islam is state religion. Women (incl. tourists) should cover their hair and be dressed decently at all times, even if not Muslim. Iranian people are very, very friendly and like to talk to you, without trying to sell or cheat. Yet women should not travel alone. There is a also beautiful architecture in Isfahan and ancient heritage sites like Shiraz.

About UAE
The United Arab Emirates is a monarchy formed by 7 emirates of which Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the best known. It has a population of almost 10 million of which 80% are foreigners. The UAE is a very rich country thanks to its location and neighbours. Tourists can enjoy camel and dune rides as well as very exclusive architecture, hotels and resorts.

Israel and the USA started a war against Iran on 27-Feb-2026. Missiles and bombs followed killing thousands all across the country. Tourist centres like Esfahan and Shiraz were also hit. Till further notice it is not safe to travel to Iran.

US and Israeli citizens should avoid Iran indefinitely.
