Israel is a Western country located in the Middle East, officially established 1947. On one hand there is innovation and tons of startups (Tel Aviv). On the other hand it has been the center of Jewish, Muslim and Christian religions, with celebrations and fights for the past almost 2000 years. Jesus Christ lived and died in cities like Bethlehem, Nazareth and Jerusalem. Jerusalem as capital is very much disputed between Israel and Palestina.

Spain
Spain (España) is a very sports-minded country being world class in Tennis, Football, Bicycling and others. A lot of this is thanks to the warm climate. Spain also features many fiestas and great food and drinks, like Paella, Tapas and Sangria. Do try a glas of Rioja at a Flamenco party! Geographically there are three distinct regions: a) the mainland b) the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza) and c) the Canary Islands.

Palestinian Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza on 7-Oct-2023, murdered 1200 Israeli citizens and foreigners and took 250 hostages. Israel took revenge and killed more than 70,000 Palestinian civilians and Hamas fighters. Gaza was destroyed completely. Peace has somewhat returned, but tensions remain. It is NOT safe or recommended to travel to Israel till further notice.
