Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked, mountainous, mostly Muslim country in Central Asia. It has been under Turkish, Mongolian and Russian influence in the past, cultures that left many traces in daily life. About Iran
Iran, former Persia, is a large country. Like most of it's neighbours Islam is state religion. Women (incl. tourists) should cover their hair and be dressed decently at all times, even if not Muslim. Iranian people are very, very friendly and like to talk to you, without trying to sell or cheat. Yet women should not travel alone. There is a also beautiful architecture in Isfahan and ancient heritage sites like Shiraz.
