It is a poor country, with major cities Islamabad (capital) and Karachi (harbor). In the North there is the Karakorum mountain range with K2, the 2nd highest mountain in the world.

Peak Jengish Chokusu, at 7,439 m is the highest point and is considered to be the northernmost peak over 7,000 m in the world.
