Svalbard (aka Spitsbergen) and Jan Mayen is a Norwegian group of islands, in the utmost northern part of Europe. It's capital Longyearbyen with 2500 people is the only real city there. The islands are known for snow, ice and the other inhabitants: polar bears.
About FinlandFinland is a large, modern country in Northern Europe. The spoken language is completely different from it's other Scandinavian neighbours with only Estonian and Hungarian being similar. There are very few cities, lots of trees and lakes and empty space. Helsinki is the official capital, but in winter Rovaniemi in the North is far more important for most tourists - with Sami, Reindeer, Northern Lights and Santa Claus. National sports in Finland: ice hockey, cross country ski and Sauna!
