Zambia seriously tries to protect it's wildlife, amongst which are the Big Five. 30% of the country is now a National Park. One of the main natural attractions of Africa can be found here, at the border with Zimbabwe and Namibia's Pan Handle: the mighty Victoria Falls. Although tourism in neighbouring countries is more significant, it certainly is on the rise in Zambia.

The 1600 km long Okavango river ends inland with no sea insight, at the Okavango Delta. The Kalahari desert covers most of Botswana and a wet delta with drinking water attracts a lot of semi-permanent wildlife. A favourite activity is looking for hippos in a dugout canoe...There are more elephants in Botswana than anywhere else.
